Exciting news from our team – this week the Maternal Immunization book, from The Continuous Textbook of Women’s Medicine Series, has been published. This book is edited by Professor Asma Khalil, who is one of our team’s close collaborators at the CNPI.
This book features exciting work from several of the CNPI Vaccinology members, including our Chief Investigator Professor Kirsty Le Doare, Sarah Sturrock, and Rossul Al-Bahadili. The team contributed to Section 3 of the book, which is titled, “Future Vaccines for use in pregnancy“. This included an in-depth discussion surrounding the burden and epidemiology of invasive Group B Streptococcus (GBS) infections, the role of breast milk in late-onset GBS infections, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
Congratulations to the team for their amazing work!
